EVENTS AT PERTH SERIES OF RACES LAST NIGHT. LOGAN DERBY LEADING IN POINTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) PERTH. This Day. The inter-Dominion trotting championship meeting was continued last night. Despite muggy and threatening weather there was a large attendance. Interest is keen over the match between Icevus and Logan Derby next Monday over a mile, the objective being a new Australian record. Both horses hold the new record for 11 miles. The programme includes a match for horses in a championship series of races. For the first time in Australia there will be a flying start. The present mile record is 2.2 established by Lawn Derby in Sydney last week. Results:— INTER-DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP. Two miles. First Division. Grand Mogul, 12yds (Anderson) .... 1 Master Dixie, scr (Chant) 2 Evicus, 12yds (Young) 3 Ten started. Grand Mogul took the lead at the last lap and won by three yards from Master Dixie under the whip. Evicus was fifteen yards back. Kolect (Western Australia) was fourth. Time, 4.23. Grand Mogul cut the state record held by Evicus by half a second. Mas» ter Dixie was favourite. Second Division. Our Globe, 12yds (Lewis) 1 Lachlan Machine, scr (Chant) 2 Earl Pronto, scr (Thomas) 3 Ten started. Icevus led most of the way. Our Globe challenged at the home turn and won by 11 yards with six yards between the second and third horses. Icevus who brok at the far turn was fourth. Time, 4.24. Third Division. Main Derby, scr (Butcher) 1 Logan Derby, 36yds (Stamford) .... 2 Radiant Walla, scr (Wallis) 3 Eight started. Main Derby made the pace throughout. At the third lap Logan Derby flashed through the field but the leader withstood a determined challenge and won by eight yards. Logan Derby, under the whip, finished five yards in front of Radiant Walla. Prince Dalia was fourth. Time, 4.25 J. The scratchings were Uenuku, whose shoulder trouble is persisting, and Supertax, who broke down. In the trotting championships the leading points are: Logan Derby 15; Main Derby 12; Our Globe llj; Grand Mogul 10; Master Dixie 8; Evicus 7; Icevus 6’; Uenuku 5; Radiant Walla 4|; Lachlan Machine 4; Globe Darell 3J; Sureptax 3. The following is the field for the grand final of the inter-Dominion trotting championship: Radiant Walla (N.S.W.), Master Dixie (N.S.W.), Mor' eica (Western Australia), Grand Mogul. Icevus, Uenuku (N.Z.) scr; Evicus (Tasmania), Main Derby (Victoria) Our Globe (Tasmania) 12yds; Logan Derby (Tasmania) 36yds.
