GERMANS ARRESTED
— TO EE INTERNED ON SOMES ISLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 14. Two more German nationals living in Auckland were arrested tonight by detectives and handed over to the military authorities, who had made arrangements for their dispatch to Wellington. where they will be interned on Somes Island. The two mon apprehended are both single and about 35 years of age. Both are said to have an expert knowledge of radio and have been in the Auckland district for about 12 months. Since the outbreak of war nine Germans, all men, have been taken into custody in Auckland. The warrant executed today was issued by the Attorney-General, Mr Mason, in accordance with the Alien Control Emergency Regulations, which came into force a few days after the outbreak of war on September 3. The' regulations state, in effect, that an alien may be taken into custody if his liberty is a source of public danger, if ho is disaffected and if he has acted, or is about to act, in a manner injurious to the public safety or the interests of the King.
