CUP WON BY ALGERIAN. DEAD HEAT IN STAKES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAWERA. February 11. The Egmont summer meeting was concluded on Saturday in the most wintry conditions experienced by the club for . some time. Despite this the attendance was good, but the heavy rain restricted betting, many refraining from leaving shelter to stand in the totalisator queues. The course was very heavy, and slow times were recorded. During the day the totalisator handled £19,427, a decrease of £3305 10s. The turnover for the meeting was £35,710 10s. which was £6754 below last year's. Results: — Okaiawa Hurdles, 11m: 2/2 Student Prince. 10.5 (T. Tito) 1; 4/4 First Chapter 9.12 (F.
