MASTERTON CLUB. WEEKLY MEETING- I.AST NIGHT. In spile of rhe unfavourable conditions the Masterton Swimming Club held its weekly competitions in the Dixon Street baths last evening. Only a handful of spectators braved the elements but they were treated to some keen racing and are to be commended for their enthusiasm, no less Ilian the swimmers. There will be no club competitions next Tuesday evening but each grade of club swimmers will be catered for by one race during the Inter-House Carnival on Thursday evening, and Club members are asked to give this function their support. The secretary desires to remind trophy holders that the cups should now be handed in and may be left at Mr G. Barr’s Cycle Shop in . Queen Street. A cup has been presented for competition amongst junior girl divers and is to be awarded to the girl gaining most points in this event over the whole season; 3 points for a first. 2 for a second and 1 for a third.
