FIRE DAMP EXPLOSION IN BELGIAN PIT. TWENTY-SIX PERSONS KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.10 a.m.) BRUSSELS, February 8. Twenty-six persons were killed by a fire damp explosion at the colliery of Marchienne Aupont during the night. A later report states fire entrapped miners in Monceau Fontaine, one of the deepest collieries in Marchienne Aupont. Five bodies have been recovered. Twenty are believed to be dead.
