GOLD MINING RETURNS'. Alexander Mines Ltd has issued the following report for January:—Battery department: 195 tons of ore crushed for 390 z of melted gold. Cyanide department: 148 tons sands treated for 330 z. of bullion. Total estimated value: £540. In addition. 5.75 tons of concentrates was saved, valued at £2OO. In estimating the above values gold has been taken at 160 s a fine ounce. The Nokomai Gold Mining Co., Ltd., reports a final wash-up of. 7320 z from approximately one-third of an acre.
