The wedding took place on Saturday evening in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Pahiatua, of Olive Alison, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Rose, Kohinui, to Mr Bernard Lancelot. second son of Mr and Mrs F. W. Ebbett, W’oodville. A wedding of much interest took place in St. John’s Anglican Church, Johnsonville, recently, when Thelma eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Kench, Johnsonville, and late of Wanganui, was married to John Henry, only son of Mr and Mrs Irion, Hataitai. The bride was a member of the Wellington Amateur Athletic Club, and represented New Zealand at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932.
