The inter-Dominion Trotting Championshp Carnival commenced last night, when three devisions were run over a mile. Results: — First division: Main Derby (Victoria) 12 yards. 1; Ruling Globe (Western Australia), scratch, 2; Logan Derby (Tasmania), 36yds, 3. Ten started. Icevus (New Zealand) was a close fourth. Won by a foot, three yards between second a third. Time, 2min 7|sec. Logan Derby lowered the State record for a mile by 3.} seconds, five contestants beating the previous record.
Second Division: Globe Dorell (Tasmania), scratch. 1; Radiant Walla (New South Wales), scratch, 2; Evicus (Tasmania), 12 yards, 3. Ten started. Won by a yard. Two yards between second and third. The winner's time was 2min llsec. The favourite, Grand Mogul (New Zealand) broke up when coming to the last lap. He was just beginning his run. ' Third division: Uenuku (New Zealand) scratch, 1; Moreica (Western Australia), scratch. 2; Our Globe (Tasmania), 12 yards, 3. Ten started. Won hard held, by five yards, nine yards between the next two. Supertax (New Zealand) was a close fifth. The winner’s time was 2min Bsec. i Supei-tax won the stake for the horse registering the fastest time. Championship points are: Uenuku, Main Derby 5; Logan Derby, Evicus. 4: Globe Dorell. 3J; Our Globe, Supertax 3: Radiant Walla, 21: Prince Dalia (Victoria), Ruling Globe, Moreica, 2.
