CAPTAIN G. B. CORBY
RETIRES FROM SEA SERVICE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The U.S.S. Co.. Ltd., announces the retirement of Captain G. B. Corby, who joined their service in 1915, after a number of years at sea, eight of them as master of boats of the Palea Shipping Company. Captain Corby has commanded many of the Union Company's steam freighters, both coastal and intercolonial. He has .just relinquished command of the Karetu. having reached retiring age.
