EXPLOSION IN GERMANY

HUGE AMMUNITION DUMP. IN SECTION OF SIEGFRIED LINE. The tremendous explosion heal’d in Germany early last Friday morning from the Swiss frontier was the subject of a report in the French newspaper “Paris Soir.” It says that a huge ammunition dump in the southernmost section of the Siegfried Line was destroyed. as well as the electrical works serving the line, and large petrol stores.

The Nazi explanation of the matter said that a few cases of petrol exploded through the carelessness of some workmen, but that does not explain the tremendous force of the explosion, which was seen for many miles around. —-By radio.
