CAR AND LORRY COLLIDE
FOUR PERSONS INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 5. Four of the five occupants of a motor-car were injured when the vehicle left the road, fell down a bank and overturned following a collision with a lorry on the approach to the Puke bridge, about a mile from Paeroa, at 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon, the injured were:— Mrs Mary Thrupp, aged 77, of Morrinsville; severe head injuries. Condition serious. Mrs Margaret Eileen Vandy, of Orini Road, Taupiri; head injuries. Condition not serious. Desmond Vandy, aged six, son of Mrs Vandy; fractured collarbone. Condition not serious. Mr Thomas Thrupp, contractor, of Morrinsville, and husband of Mrs Thrupp; minor injuries.
