CHURCH SERVICES
The services at the Lansdowne Church tomorrow will be taken by the Rev. David McNeur, who will also preach at Rangitumau at 1.30 p.m., and at Kopuaranga at 2.45 p.m. Parents are invited to send their children to the Sunday school classes, which will commence tomorrow at 9.45 a.m.
The Presbyterian services at Knox Church, Te Whiti and Westmere tomorrow will be taken by the Rev. John Davie. Mr D. S. Chalmers will preach at Matahiwi at 2 p.m. The services in the Methodist Church tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. Frederick J. Parker, who will take as his subjects, “As an Eagle Stirreth Up Her Nest,” and “Jesus, the Need of the Hour,” in the morning and evening, respectively. Following a shortened evening service, the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be administered. The Sunday School will reopen on Sunday, at 9.55 a.m.
In connection with the Kuripuni Methodist Church service, attention is drawn to an alteration in the time. Commencing .on Sunday, Divine worship will be held in the church each Sunday evening at 7 o’clock, the preacher tomorrow evening being Mr C. R. Goudge. Sunday school will now be held in the morning at 11 o’clock, commencing tomorrow, when new scholars will be especially welcome. At Wangaehu, at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow, the Methodist service will be conducted by the Rev. Fred. J. Parker.
The morning and evening services of the Baptist Fellowship on Sunday will be conducted by Mr A. E. Lonsdale. The Sunday school will resume at 10 a.m., and new scholars will be verywelcome. Communion service will be observed at the close of morning service.
The Holy Communion will be celebrated at St. Matthew's Church tomorrow at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. The Rev. V. W. Joblin will preach at 11 a.m., and the vicar at 7 p.m. The Rev. T. V. Pearson will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni. The service at Taueru will be at 2.30 p.m., with a children's service at 2 p.m. The speaker at both Church of Christ services tomorrow will be Mr W. J. Lowe. All are cordially invited to attend.
A very interesting series of lectures will commence on Sunday night- at the Gospel Hall, “Ruhamah,” Queen Street and illustrated by a chart designed by F. C. Bland, a well-known teacher of the Scriptures. In view of present world events, these lectures should be heard by' ail who are interested in prophecy. A welcome is extended to those interested to attend. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major and Mrs Mahaft’ie. At the morning service the Major will continue his series of addresses on the subject, "Victorious Living.” In the evening service. Brother B. Fairbrother, from the Chatham Islands, will give the address. All are heartily invited to the Army’s services.
