Nel Tarleton, of Liverpool, achieved (wo records when he outpointed Johnny Cusick, of Manchester, holder of tile British and Empire featherweight boxing championships, in a 15-round boid. Tarleton, who is 34 years of age, is the oldest boxer to win the British championship and Ihe first to regain the title twice.
