ALLEGATIONS OF VIOLATION. CHARGES AGAINST AGENCY CORRESPONDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) TOKIO, February 2. Mr James R. Young, a correspondent of the International News Service is charged with violating the army criminal code, relating to dissemination of false and slanderous rumours.
A Foreign Office spokesman said the indictments were brought under sections relating to false and malicious fabrications and rumours about military affairs during a time of war and national emergency.
