WELCOME ON RETURN HOME. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON. January 31. The citizens of Plymouth gave a tumultuous reception to H.M.S. Ajax, in response to an invitation by the Commander-in-Chief of the western approaches to join in a welcome to mark lhe warship's part in the defeat of the Admiral Graf Spec. The Admiralty telegraphed to H.M.S. Ajax congratulations on her safe return. BRITISH WOUNDED. PROVISION OF HOSPITAL SHIP. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 30. It is revealed that following lhe action against the Admiral Graf Spee Hie Exeter was met at her destination by a hospital ship in charge of Dr. Pennington. The British community in Buenos Aires fitted out the ship and is bearing the cost also of the medical care mid treatment of the wounded. Tribute is paid to the splendid work done. Seventy-four wounded from the Exeter, four from the Ajax and throe from the Achilles vvere treated.
