MASTERTON SHOW
ON FEBRUARY 13 AND 14. Entries for both the Masterton show and ram fair close on January 31. At the show there are classes to suit all including sheep, cattle, horses, pigs, poultry and pigeons and cage birds. New classes have been added this year for Dorset Horn Sheep. In the chilled beef classes £25 5s .has been donated towards the prize money by the Meat Board, and the Wellington Harbour Board. There are many special cups to the value of £6OO offered. Ponies are always well represented at the show, the policy of the Association being to encourage the young people to take a keen interest in the shows. In the lady’s open hack class. the first prize has been increased to £7 and this should attract large entries. There are 17 jumping events for ponies and horses. In the champion jump, Woolworths, Ltd., N.Z. have donated a cup. In the kennel section there are many cups and specials offered for competition. Schedules can be obtained from the Secretary. P.O. Bom 40, Masterton. The ram fair will be held on February 15 and 16.
