POLICE OBSTRUCTED
MINISTER FINED.
SEQUEL TO TROUBLE (AT AUCKLAND.

Holding that he had deliberately obstructed the police in the execution of their duty at a meeting in Quay Street on Sunday last, the Magistrate. Mr J. Molding, in the S.M. Court today fined the Rev Ormind Burton, a Christian Pacifist, £lO and on a second charge of obstructing a public place imposed a fine of £3.
Charges of obstructing the police brought against two speakers from the Communist platform. Thomas Stanley and Walter Ashton, were dismissed, the Magistrate holding that the circumstances in their case were entirely different. However they were each fined £2 for obstructing a public place.
