PURSUANT to Section 3 of the Local Elections and Polls Amendment Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that the following Candidates have been nominated for the office of Councillor for the Maungaraki Riding of the County of Wairarapa South, in place of the lale Mr Frederick William Joblin, now' deceased, as follows: — COTTER, Frederick C. 11. STRANG, James Kay. As the number of Candidates exceeds the number of offices to be filled. I hereby' give further notice that a poll for the election of one Councillor as aforesaid, will be taken on WEDNESDAY, the 7th day of February, 1940, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.. and for such purpose I hereby appoint the following Polling-places:— The County Office.
