TT has been repeatedly demonstrated that the business people of Masterton are imbued with a strong spirit ol lotalH towards the town and never miss an opportunity to give it a boost. Any movement which has lor its object the birther progress of Masterton and improving the lot of the people of the'distriet generally has always had. their strong support. 11 is recognised bv the business community that Masterton is one of the soundest towns in the Dominion, with possibilities which onlv require developing to enhance the reputation it already enj'ovs. The business people have such confidence in Mastertoii that. thov have expended large sums of money in making their shops up-to-date in every respect, bringing them into line with those of the cities in relation to studying the reqniremenls of customers ami the class ol goods offered lor sale. Ihe InterHouse sports movement, is another direction in which the employers of Maslerton have enthusiastically ranged themselves'alongside their employees and given subsfanl ial assistance in activities which have brought the name of Mastertoii prominently before the public in centres beyond this district. Local "iris in every class of business in Mastertoii will take part in centennial Inter-House sports demonstration in Wellington ;?t Easter, and there is a duty upon the public of Maslerion io rallv round the organisers and give them every assistance in flic effort to raise funds so that Mastertoii may be adequately represented at the greatest business sporting enterprise ever undertaken in the Dominion.
