ELOCUTION STUDIO
Mrs Isabel Halligan, of Wellington, who has just returned from England is opening a studio in the Y.M.C.A. Hall. Masterton, and can be interviewed on Monday next from 2 till 4 p.m. While in England Mrs Halligan joined the London Speech Institute where refresher courses were attended by teachers from all over the world; at Trinity College she had lessons from Professor Gilbert Hudson, who gave her a special recommendation when she was elected a member of the Royal Society of Teachers. London. Included in her studies abroad Mrs Halligan paid special attention to speech therapy and she holds the Licentiate and Associate Diplomas in elocution, of Trinity College, London. Mrs Halligan has been teaching in Wellington for a number of years and in response to requests has decided to spend a short period each week in Masterton. Among her other qualifications Mrs Halligan has been most successful as an adjudicator both in New Zealand and England.*
