It is learned that Germany has acquired a powerful interest in two of Rumania’s biggest armament firms as a result of a Rumanian law rendering worthless 500,000 share certificates deposited in a London bank by a Czechoslovakian firm since taken over by Germany. The new law made shares held in foreign countries liable to cancellation but permitted the owners to claim duplicates of the same at a nominal value in Rumania.
