The New Zealand Petroleum Co.. Ltd., states that the plugging and dismantling of the Totangi oil bore (Poverty Bay) has been completed and that the equipment is being transported to a new site at Morere, where the erection of the buildings is progressing. Work has been retarded because of exceptionally wet weather. The first portion of the equipment for. Taranaki drilling has arrived at -Wellington and further shipments are expected. The first drilling site is being selected by the seismograph method and investigations should be complete by March.
