ART UNION DRAWN TE KUITI SECURES FIRST PRIZE. £lOOO GOES TO WANGANUI. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A feature of the drawing of the Good Luck Art Union in Wellington yesterday was the good fortune of ticket-holders in the North Island. The first prize went to Te Kuiti. and all but two of the seven tickets winning the main prizes were bought in the North Island. The winner of the first prize used the nom de plume of “Lucky Birthday.” The second prize of £lOOO was won by a Wanganui ticket-holder under the nom de plume of “Ihopie.” Two of the main prizes went to Tolaga Bay. The fourth prize of £4OO was drawn by a Christchurch butt, and the fifth prize. £3OO. went to Dunedin. At the drawing of the previous art union in December all but one of the main prizes went to the South Island. Results are: — First Prize, £2OOO. 168725, “Lucky Birthday,” Te Kuiti. Second Prize, £lOOO. 178302. “Ihopie," Wanganui. Third Prize, £5OO. 142865, “Black Cat,” Tolaga Bay. Fourth Prize, £4OO. 40774, “Two Beauts," Christchurch butt. Fifth Prize, £3OO. 164638, "Nearly Missed,” Dunedin. Sixth Prize, £2OO. 25841, “Happy New Year,” Tolaga Bay. Seventh Prize, £lOO. 21369, "Good Luck,” Wellington. £5 prizes were won by “M.A.C. Syndicate,” Matahiwi, and "The Lucky One,” Konini.
