PAT BOOT TO COMPETE. STENNER & SHARPLEY TO ATTEMPT RECORDS. Advice has been received by the Masterton Amateur Athletic Club that Pat Boot, Empire Games half-mile title and record holder, will compete at the Park Oval on Anniversary Day. Boot has struck form early this year and it is expected that he will put up an excellent performance in the 880 yards handicap.

Another added attraction will be an attempt on 220 yards hurdles record by Frank Sharpley, present New Zealand title holder. Sid. Stenner, of Australia, who is attempting 120 yards hurdles record will in all probability take part in the 220 yards hurdles race as well.

The N.Z. tilleholdcrs for the 100 yards flat, the 120 yards and 220 yards hurdles, the 880 yards, 1 mile and 3 miles will all be competing on Monday. Never before have Mastertonians had a similar opportunity of seeing so many of the New Zealand cracks in action.

The following are the entries'in the 220 yards hurdles at the sports at the Park Oval, Masterton. on Monday: S. Stenner (scr.), P. F. Sharpley <scr.), A. E. Edwards, and B. F. Falloon.
