A Foreign Office spokesman confirmed a report that the occupants of a German plane which made a forced landing in Belgium on Monday had “important and disquieting documents'’ in their possession, and refused to reveal Ihe eonleuis.

Police arrested a pro-Nazi Belgian who was inspecting the spot where the plane landed. A special meeting of the Dutch Cabinet has been held. The reason was not disclosed.

Inhabitants on both sides of the German-Netherlands frontier are annoyed at the erection of the barbedwire fence by the Germans, which cuts roads, isolates hamlets, and divides villages intwo. Concrete barricades are installed in Luxembourg, and on part of the bridge across the Moselle at Remich, says a message from Brussels. Other barricades are being built along the Moselle River inland.

There is a further easing in tension in the Low Country, Daventry reports. In Brussels it is announced that leave will shortly be restored in the Army. A Netherlands official announcement states that foreign planes flew over Dutch territory at a great height, and were fired on by anti-aircraft batteries.
