BRITISH SCIENTIFIC TALENT MOBILISED CO-OPERATION WITH FRANCE. POSITION OF INVENTORS SAFEGUARDED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.35 a.m.) RUGBY, January 19. The importance of scientific research in war and methods of testing the value of inventions offered to the Defence services was discussed in the House of Lords yesterday. The Minister for Co-Ordination of Defence, Lord Chatfield, gave an assurance that the scientific talent of the country was fully ■ mobilised. Moreover there had been a concerted and mutual exchange of scientific information between the British and French authorities. Steps were being taken, in regard to inventors, to safeguard their positions while the Government took advantage of their brains. WAR SUPPLIES DISCUSSION OF JOINT PRODUCTION. Dautry, the French Armaments Minister, returned to France with his staff after discussions with the Minister of Supply. Mr E. L. Burgin, regarding the Allies' joint production of war supplies. _____
