REPORTED NEW AGREEMENT German Troops in South Soviet Poland DANUBE STATES INTERESTED AND ALARMED BEARING ON WAR IN FINLAND (By Telegraph.—Press Association. —Copyright.) LONDON. January IS. The correspondent of “The Times,’’ in a message from Belgrade, states that authenticated reports that German troops have entered the south Sovietised Poland have aroused the interest and apprehension of the Danube Powers. It is widely believed that an important rearrangement of the Russian-German relations in this area is imminent Germany is reported to have agreed, to assist the Finnish struggle, either in the form of expert advice or by more effective measures to prevent material from reaching the Finns, for which the Soviet Union would cede the oil-bearing district south-east of Lwow, reaching almost to the Rumanian frontier. Such a development would change the balance of power in the Danubian and Balkans States overnight.
