ENJOYABLE GATHERING. A dance held in the Te Ore Oro school on Saturday night proved to be one of the most successful ever held in the school and those present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Mr Haste (Carterton) was a capable M.C. The music was supplied by Mrs Te Tau and her Melody Makers. Extras were played by Messrs V. Boyd (Greytown). O’Kane and Churchouse. The Monte Carlo was won by Mr Roy Morris and Mrs Allan Morris. After supper Mr Henshilwood, the club captain of the Te Ore Ore Tennis Club, asked Miss Lock and Mr lan Morris to accept gifts from theii- many friends. Mr lan Morris suitably replied on behalf of himself and Miss Lock. The singing of Auld Lang Sync brought to a close a very happy gathering."
