Mr and Mrs Guy Wagg and family. Renall Street, Masterton. have returned from a visit to Castlepoint. Misses E. Hitchen and M. Johnston. Rotorua, were guests at the Hotel Midland, Masterton, yesterday. Mrs J. Husband, of Pahiatua, who was the guest of Mrs J. Cleghorn, Wellington, has returned home.
Miss E. Dalton Dinneen, of Remuera, Auckland, who is a guest ■at "Braeburn,” Masterton, will return to Auckland this week.
Mr and Mrs Hair. Tararua Street. Masterton. accimpanied by Mrs Snowsill, have left on a motor tour to Gisborne.
Mrs W. R. Cartwright and Miss Betty Cartwright. Pleasant Point, South Canterbury, are staying with Mrs C. V/, Rutherford, Tararua Street, Masterton.

A tribute to the popularity of Miss Olive Rose, whose marriage to Mr Bernie Ebbett, of Woodville, will take place shortly, was paid at a kitchen tea in her honour in the Kohinui Hall on Thursday night. The hall was crowded, not only by residents of the district, but by many visitors from surrounding districts, and from Woodville and Palmerston North. Calling on Miss Rose to open the large array of useful gifts, Mr G. Cotter, the M.C., spoke of her great popularity, and wished her all happiness and good luck in her married life. Mr Ebbett replied on behali' of Miss Rose.
