SECTION PLAY TODAY N.Z. BOWLING TOURNAMENT. MASTERTON TEAM BEATEN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The New Zealand Centennial bowling tournament is being continued today with the third and fourth rounds of section play in the rinks championship. The strong northerly wind, which has troubled players for the past three days, had abated this morning and apart from light rain for a brief period the conditions were excellent. Results:— THIRD ROUND. Section A. Maslin (Hawera) beat Stephenson (Gisborne), 22/18; Caley (Central) beat Dee (Nelson), 31/17; Rendle (Upper Hutt) beat Montgomery (Auckland), 22/18; Naylor (Hataitai) beat Wilson (Linwood), 21/IC; Macdonald (Malmacewan) beat Wilson (Newtown), 26/23. Section B. Bull (Levin) beat Lafrentz (Maitai), 33/28; Wright (Seatoun) beat' Cooper (Karori), 35/24; Haworth (Canterbury) beat Christian (Masterton). 26/16; Gray (Kelburn) beat Smith (Thorndon), 28/22; Fruish (Claudelands) beat Belcher (Napier). 25/22. Section C.
