Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 30.40. Shade temperature: Maximum 79.4, minimum 52.8, terrestrial 43.6. Sunshine, 13 hours 15 min. MASTERTON RAINFALL. During 1939, 28.63 inches of rain fell in Masterton, compared with 46.19 inches in 1938. and 31.56 inches in 1937. FALL OF RAIN AT LONGBUSH, At Longbush in December, 4.89 inches of rain were registered. There were 8 days with rain, the maximum fall being 2.72 points on December 11.' The average for December over 23 years is 3.06 inches. In 1939, 32.52 inches of rain fell, and in 1938, 41.84 inches.
