STATE THEATRE. FRIDAY, January 12:—Another Happy New Year Hit with the star of “Bachelor Mother,” Ginger Rogers, acknowledged the most versatile actress ; of Hollywood, ip “Fifth Avenue Girl,” a scintillating comedy by R.K.O. Radio. The supporting players include Walter Connolly, Varree Teasdale, James Ellison, Tim Holt. Included in the superb State Featurettes is the latest “March of Time,” entitled “War. Peace and Propaganda,” a vital and eagerly awaited subject which should not be missed by anyone. Also screening is Walt Disney’s new cartoon “Donald’s Cousin Gus.” TUESDAY, January 16: —A true and amazing drama of ten twisted lives, seeking an escape from fate, fighting for a chance to live—“ The Escape,” starring Kane Richmond, Amanda Duff, June Gale.
