A COLD SAVOURY

YOU WILL LIKE THIS. Hard boil the required number of eggs, remove shells, cut in halves, crosswise, and remove the yolks. Cut a small piece off the ends of the whites to make them stand. Pound the yolks with a little butter, and if sardines are used, remove skin and bones and pound these'with the yolks. Add seasoning, and fill the whites with this mixture. Instead of sardines a little piece of cold chicken may be used, or cooked ham, in fact a little of each would be excellent. Chop both as finely as possible before mixing' with yolks. Some cream cheese or grated cheese is another suggestion or some sort of curry mixture. Fill the egg cases as neatly as possible and place on a bed of lettuce with a border of skinned and sliced tomatoes around.
