This Day. There were no Stock Exchange sales this morning. The Stock Exchange Association has received advice from the Commercial Bank of Australia that an interim dividend has been declared for six months at four per cent per annum on preference shares, and 6 2-3 per cent per annum on ordinary shares. These will be paid on February 9, in Australian currency. The progress report of Wellington Alluvials Ltd for the four weeks ended December 9 states that the dredge worked 513 hours, handled 282,000 cubic yards, and recovered bullion estimated to contain 1348 ounces of fine gold.
