With the elimination of 234 players in the singles championship on the opening clay of the New Zealand Centennial bowling tournament the remaining fifty-four —nine "two-lifers’ and forty-five "one-lifers" —competed this morning in the post-section play. The weather is overcast and calm, providing ideal conditions. At the Wellington green where the "two-lifers" are playing, there is a large gallery and some fine bowling was seen.
