WATERFRONT DISPUTE

SETTLEMENT TN AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. January 8. With the co-operation of the Railways Department, trouble on the overseas vessel which is discharging guano has been settled without a time penalty on the men. It has been decided to discharge the cargo with grabs and to eliminate bagging in the hold. The cargo will be carried by trucks to storage centres and bagged there. Work on the ship will resume tomorrow morning. The Waterside Union secretary slates this is the most satisfactory agreement to employers and workers ever reached in Auckland.
