Mrs R. C. Austin, Mrs P. A. Bisset, and Miss Joy Wedd are Pahiatua visitors to Wellington.
Mr and Mrs Owen Jones, Essex Street, Masterton, have returned from a visit to the seaside.
Mr and Mrs Kelly, son and daughter, of Dargaville, are at the Hotel Midland, Masterton.
Mr and Mrs J. Russell, Cole Street, Masterton, have returned from a visit to Raumati.
Mr and Mrs S. M. Hobbs, visitors from Wellington, are staying at the Hotel Midland, Masterton. Miss Joyce Skeet, “Purakau,” Greytown, who has been spending a holiday in South Canterbury, has returned home.
Mrs C. V. Sugden, of Christchurch, and formerly of Masterton, wife of Major Sugden, will leave shortly for Sydney, where she will reside for the duration of the war.
, The many friends in Masterton of Mr H. F. Deverell will be pleased to learn that his wife, who had been seriously ill in the LewjSham Hospital, Wellington, is now making good progress towards recovery. She is staying at the residence- of her son, Mr Fred Deverell, Wellington.
