DAIRY INDUSTRY

MASTERTON COMPANY. LOCAL SALES SATISFACTORY. Production for the season was down considerably owing to a bad winter and a poor spring, staled reports presented at a meeting of directors of the Masterton Co-operative Dairy Company. Mr J. C. Ewington presided. Local sales were particularly satisfactory this year. In December their I value reached £6,668 14s lid. the highest figure yet recorded. The month’s payout was fixed at Is 2d. Unless rain comes soon to freshen dry pastures a fall in production for the year is expected.
