AMERICAN SHIP
DETAINED AT GIBRALTAR. RELEASED UNDER GUARANTEE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 10.10 a.m.) RUGBY. January 7. The United States steamship Manhattan was detained at Gibraltar last night as the cargo w,as not covered by a navicert. The ship was released after an undertaking given by her agents that any suspicious cargo items would be hold at British disposal.
