THE MANHATTAN
RELEASED AT GIBRALTAR. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 11.50 a.m.) NEW YORK. January 17. The Manhattan’s commander has wirelessed that the ship has been released after being .held for about 40 hours at Gibraltar, and is proceeding to Genoa. The Manhattan, after being taken to Gibraltar, was released on her agents undertaking that any suspicious cargo items would be held at British disposal.
