AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT'S DECISION. PART TO BE MADE IN STERLING. Jy Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day. 12.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE. This Day. The Federal Government has revised its decision regarding the pay of members of the Second A.I.F. , While, on service overseas, all soldiers of the Second A.I.F. will receive two-fifths of their pay in sterling, exclusive of deferred pay. The Federal Premier (Mr R. G. Menzies) announced that the Federal Government would bear the cost of exchange. based on the present rate of approximately £125 Australian to £lOO English.
