CHURCH SERVICES

The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will take the form of farewell services to Envoy and Mrs Jones, who are leaving Masterton. The Envoy and Mrs Jones have been appointed to take charge of the-Armys work at Tauranga. They will be the speakers at each service during the day. AU are heartily invited to the Army’s services. The meeting of the Baptist Fellowship on Sunday, at 11 a.m.. will be conducted by Mr W. Teeboon. There will be no evening service. Visitors will be made very welcome. The services in Knox Church tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. John Davie .and will be in the nature of a Centennial thanksgiving. Special thanksgiving, services for the National Centennial will be held at all Church of England centres tomorrow. The vicar will be the preacher both morning and evening at St. Matthew's Church. The Rev. T. V. Pearson will conduct special services at Bideford at 10.30 a.m., and Kuripuni at 7 p.m. The Rev. V. W. Joblin will conduct similar services at Taueru at 2.30 p.m., and Upper Plain at 7 p.m. The services at the Methodist Church on Sunday will be conducted by Rev. F. J. Jack and Mr C. R. Goudge in the morning and evening, respectively. At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow the morning service will be conducted by Mr C. R. Goudge. There will be no Methodist service at Wangaehu on Sunday afternoon.
