Surf Rescue Work. The value of the surf life-saving clubs at the various summer resorts was well demonstrated during the holiday period at Mount Maunganui, Tauranga, when 16 rescues were effected. The Mount Maunganui Club is composed of junior members only, but the work of rescuing those in danger was well directed by two senior members of the Piha Club L W Schubert and J Pelham.
