EUCHRE PARTY & DANCE MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB GATHERING. o . (“Times-Age" Special.) g A large crowd attended the South Featherston Miniature Rifle Club’s it euchre party and dance when the prizes were won as follow: —Men, Mr [ P. Gain 1; Mr G. Gain 2. Ladies. Mrs g H. R. Burt 1; Mrs Chisholm 2. The Monte Carlo dances were won • by Mr N. Edwards and Mrs N. Gain and Mr lan J. Burt and partner. Excellent music was supplied by Mr t L. Daysh and supper was served by a s ladies' committee. i . SWIMMING CLUB 1 ENJOYABLE DANCE. Appoximately 200 people attended the Swimming Club’s dance in the , Anzac Hall on Monday night. Te Tau's , Orchestra supplied the music and Mr 1 Joe Saba capably carried out the duties . of M.C. The dance was a most enjoyable one. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs George D. Sinclair, Mr I and Mrs James Young, and Mr A. Rob- > ertson. all of Dunedin, who have been touring the North Island, are now the guests of Mr C. M. Bain. Featherston. Mr and Mrs lan McMinn and Miss Mc- ■ Lean, other members of the touring : party, are staying in Lower Hutt. Mr and Mrs W. Tonkin are the guests of Mrs R. Jepsen. Mrs Rasmussen, Senr, is at present on holiday in the Wanganui district. Miss Frances E. Burt, of Lower Hutt, is spending her vacation with her mother who also has her nephew. Mr Colin Maxwell, staying with her. Mrs Lumsden, of Wellington, is staying with her son, Mr Laurie Lumsden. South Featherston.
