LORD WILLINGDON
COMING VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND. BRINGING BATCH OF LETTERS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received This Day. 11.50 a.m.) LONDON. January 3. Lord Willingdon, who is to represent the British Government at the New Zealand Centennial celebrations, denied rumours that he is succeeding Lord Gowrie as Governor-General ol Australia. "I. am too old to take up a job ot that nature." he said, "but have arranged to make a short stay in Australia when 1 go to New Zealand." Lord Willingdon will carry a bundle of letters eighteen inches high as a result of his offer to act as postman to the New Zealand battery in Britain.
