NAZI RADIO
BROADCASTING TO FRANCE. COUNTER TO FREEDOM STATION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) PARIS, January 1. A radio station, calling itself sometimes “The Voice of Peace,” and at other times “Awakening France,” has been broadcasting German and Soviet propaganda to France. It is believed that the station has been instigated by the Nazi authorities as a counter to the German freedom station. The “Matin” demands that the station be silenced if it is on French or nearby neutral soil.
