The honours of the first day's play in the Plunket Shield cricket match between Wellington and Canterbury yesterday were all with the Canterbury team, who dismissed Wellington for 195 in their first innings, and then ran up 177 for three wickets. For Wellington Tindill scored 69. Airey 28, du Chateau 25. Cromb took 5 wickets for 66. The top scorers for Canterbury were O’Brien 31, and Donnelly( not. out, 81. CANTERBURY PILES' UP RUNS. CROMB APPROACHING CENTURY. WELLINGTON. This Day. The match was continued today, the score at 2.20 being Canterbury 327 for 5 wickets (I. B. Cromb 90 not oul, Anderson 9 not out). _____
