WEDDING

AGAR—DRUMMOND. A pretty wedding was quietly solemnised at the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church on Wednesday when Rosamond Winifred, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. C. Drummond, of Lansdowne, was married to Ralph Sydney Carroll, youngest son of Mrs S. H. Agar, Khandallah. The officiating minister was the Rev. David McNeur. Mrs H. M. Morton presided at the organ, the service being a choral one.

The bride made a charming picture in a trained gown of magnolia lace, with lilies appliqueci in satin, and a long tulle veil on which were appliqued sal in lilies, the veil being lent by Mrs Hugh Fannin. The halo head dress was of pearls on either side of which were small sprays of orange blossom, formerly worn by her mother and. sisters. She carried a bouquet of pink briar roses and carnations. The two bridesmaids and two little flower girls made a delightful picture. They were Miss Barbara Tomlinson, in shell pink mousseline soir. and Miss Mary Brisco, in delphinium blue mousseline soir, each carrying sheafs of delphiniums and wearing sprays of flowers in their hair. The two little girls, Cecilia and Rosemary Bumard. wore dainty hand-embroidered frocks of blue and green organdie respectively, and carried baskets ot roses and sweet

peas. Mr Norman Morrisson was best man. Mr John Adams groomsman, and Mr Bruce "Drummond, usher. Mr and Mrs Drummond received their guests in the garden of their home at Lansdowne, with the bride and bridegroom standing under a floral bell. Mrs Drummond wore an ensemble of navy with touches of pale pink and a large navy hat with a pink rose. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Mrs Agar, mother of the bridegroom, wore a navy and duck egg blue ensemble, and navy hat, and carried a beautiful bouquet of delphiniums and roses. The bride wore a smart suit of pastel green with striped coat and London tan hat and accessories when the happy couple left on the honeymoon. The bridegroom will go into camp shortly to train for the Air Force.
