SOLDIER INJURED

ACCIDENT AT TE ORE ORE. CYCLE & CAR COLLIDE. An accident occurred on the Te Ore Ore Road at midday today when a cyclist, Private Arthur Adderson, Medical Corps, Burnham Military Camp, was knocked down by a motor car driven by Mrs I. Blatchford at the intersection of Totara Street and Te Ore Ore Road. Private Adderson received head injuries and slight concussion. He was treated by Dr Berney and was removed to the Masterton Hospital. Private Adderson is understood to have been turning from Totara Street into the main highway, and the car, it is stated, was proceeding from town along the Te Ore Ore Road when the collision took place. Private Adderson, whose condition was stated to be improving this afternoon, was a porter at the hospital prior to enlisting for service overseas with the First Echelon of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. He is spending his final leave in Masterton.
