Onion Shortage.
The onion shortage in Masterton should be relieved to some extent today as a large motor lorry was noticed in the business area unloading a big consignment of onions. Odd Fellows Dance. A most, successful dance was held in the Masonic Hall last night by the Masterion M.U. Odd Fellows Lodge. There was a largo attendance, the music being supplied by the Blue River Dance Band. Supper was served by a ladies' committee. Drunken Motorist Fined. A fine of £lO. with costs £1 Is. was imposed on Lawrence March, aged 22. station hand. Tokomaru Bay. when he pleaded guilty before Messrs A. E. Bedford and F. S. Tarrant. J.'sP. in the Magistrates' Court. Napier, yesterday to a charge of having been drunk in charge of a ear at Port Ahuriri on Saturday night. Sergeant W. O'Donnell, prosecuting;, stud Marsh was stopped when lie was noticed driving his car in a reel;less manner, and Dr G. E. Waterworth certified that he was then under the influence of alcohol.
